Art in our Community

Ararat West Primary School has always believed in making and maintaining strong connections throughout the community. We take pride in being involved in various community projects. Our visual arts program has enjoyed participating in a range of activities offered by the Ararat Art Gallery. The students have produced some outstanding work and benefited from the different cultures this provides. We have long had an art gallery of our own in Debs Diner in the main street of Ararat. This gallery provides members of the community an opportunity to view the work of our students. Ararat West collaborates with other schools to participate in the Golden Gateway Festival, the students attend this procession with great gusto! Ararat West welcomes local figures and identities to visit the school to pass on some of their talents to the students. As well as creating and performing in our own production Ararat West regularly attends and enjoys productions put on by other schools in the area.
