At Ararat West Primary School, we embrace advances in technology with our students, incorporating these across all areas of the curriculum. As an accredited eSmart school we take steps to teach students how to best utilise these devices and make them aware of how to stay safe when using different platforms.

• P – 2 students have access to a class hub of laptops whereas the 3 – 6 students participate in a 1:1 netbook program.

• Google suite - including Google Classroom, Docs, Forms, Sheets, Drawing etc.

• Bee Bot and Spheros computer coding programming devices.

• Oculus Virtual Reality Headsets

• 3D printers

• Green Screen.

• Digital cameras

• The latest digital projecting including Smartboards, TVs and Interactive Conferencing Devices such as the Cisco WebEx.

• iPods and iPads

 

Our staff benefit from the use of SWIVL technology which enables them to film and reflect on the teaching and learning in the classroom.
