Ararat West Primary School has been a Jump Rope for Heart Demonstration school for the last 15 years. Each year we have a team of Grade 5/6 students who travel our area promoting the Heart Foundation and sending a message to communities of being healthy and active. The team also competes at a State level being the State Champions in the group section for the past three years. Individual children have competed at a National Level in the Australian Skipping Federation Competition. Students enjoy the opportunity to practice their skills during a recess and lunchtime and showcasing them to many audiences both locally and further across the state.
